Where is the HLS Education Center located?

The HLS Education Center is located in the center of Essen, directly opposite the Limbecker Platz shopping center.

How many hours are the courses? Pricing of the courses

The A1, A2, B1, B2, C1 intensive courses each include 200 lessons and cost € 749.

How do I register for the courses?

The following options are available to register with the HLS Education Center:

Online registration
Use the registration form on the respective course page to register. Fill in the details completely and then click on submit. You will receive a confirmation of your registration as soon as possible (at the latest on the next working day).
Personal registration
A personal registration is possible during our opening hours from Monday to Friday. from 09:00 a.m. to 07:00 p.m. at the reception of the HLS Education Center. Address: Limbecker Platz 7, 45127 Essen

After your successful registration, you will receive an acknowledgment of receipt as well as payment information from the HLS Education Center by email. You must provide the transfer details when making the payment.

What documents do I get after registration?

After receiving your course fee, you will receive a confirmation of registration and payment. You can then take these for presentation to the authorities and authorities if you e.g. would like to apply for a visa or extend your residence permit.

Gibt es eine Anmeldegebühr?

Für die Anmeldung innerhalb Deutschlands fällt ab dem 01.07.2019 für sämtliche Intensivkursteilnehmer eine Anmeldegebühr von 30€ an.

Für die Anmeldung außerhalb Deutschlands fällt eine Anmeldegebühr von 80€ an.

What happens if I don't get a visa for Germany?

In this case, you can send us your registration confirmation from HLS Education Center, your letter of rejection from the German embassy in good quality.

We also need your bank details (IBAN, BIC / SWIFT, name of the bank, name of the account holder)

We will refund the course fee, minus the processing fee of € 80. Processing the refund can take up to 10 working days.

At what times do the courses take place?

The HLS Education Center offers courses in the morning from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and in the afternoon from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. The choice of course time is determined individually. However, the HLS Edcuation Center reserves the right to make changes.

Is there a placement test?

You can directly participate in the desired level if you hold one of the following certificates:

Goethe certificate (the corresponding level)
TELC (the corresponding level)
DSH 1
TDN 3, 4, 5 (according to the level)
HLS certificate (according to the level)

If you do not have any of these certificates, you must take a placement test before the course starts. The placement test costs € 20. This amount will be deducted from your course fee if you successfully register for a course.

What are the dates for the placement test?

The date for the placement test can be planned individually. Please make an appointment in the office of the HLS Education Center, by phone at 0201 84386020 or at service@hls-sprachschule.de.

How long does the placement test take?

The placement test takes about 3-4 hours.

When do I get my results from the placement test?

You will receive the results of the test the next day. We will send you the evaluation via email.

Which countries do the language course participants come from?

Our students come from countries all over the world (Asia, America, Africa, Europe).

Do I get a certificate at the end of a course?

A final exam is conducted at the end of each course. If you pass the final exam, you will receive a certificate. If you do not pass the final exam, you will receive a certificate of attendance.
